In short

1. Who is responsible

This website (stepto3dpdf.com, “StepPDF 3D” or “the site”) is run by Said Ayup, based in Mexico, who is responsible for the processing of the personal data described in this policy. For any matter related to your data you can write to contact@stepto3dpdf.com.

This policy is issued in accordance with Mexico’s Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties and applicable regulations, and serves as the site’s privacy notice.

2. Your CAD files

When you load a file (STEP, STP, IGES, STL, OBJ, 3MF, PLY, WRL, PDF or another supported format), it is read and processed only in your browser’s memory, by code running on your own device. The file is not sent to our server or to any third party, and we have no access to it.

The file and the generated results (3D PDF, STL, OBJ, GLB) are discarded from memory when you remove it, load another file or close the page. Files you download are saved only on your device.

3. Data collected when you visit the site

We have no sign-up forms or user accounts, and we do not use our own analytics tools. Even so, visiting any website generates some technical data:

4. Purposes

We use the data above to provide the service and keep the site running and secure, to answer your questions, and to show the advertising that keeps the tool free. We do not sell your personal data.

5. Cookies and Google AdSense advertising

This site shows ads from Google AdSense, a service of Google LLC. In connection with this:

StepPDF 3D does not set its own cookies. It only stores your language choice (Spanish or English) in your browser if you use the language switch. The only cookies you may receive when visiting us are third-party advertising cookies. You can block or delete them in your browser settings; the tool will keep working the same.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for your consent to advertising cookies through a consent message before personalized ads are shown.

6. Sharing with third parties

The only third parties that may receive technical data from your visit are our hosting provider (Hostinger) and Google (AdSense and Google Fonts), whose servers may be located outside Mexico. Each processes data under its own privacy policy. We do not share your data with anyone else, unless required by law or a competent authority.

7. Retention

Your CAD files are not retained because they never reach our server. Server logs are kept for the period set by our hosting provider for security purposes. Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to handle your request and for any period required by law.

8. Your rights

You may at any time exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and objection (ARCO rights) over any personal data we hold about you, as well as withdraw your consent or limit the use of your data. Depending on where you live (for example, California or other US states), you may have additional privacy rights; we will honor them in the same way. To make a request, write to contact@stepto3dpdf.com with your name, the right you want to exercise and, where applicable, the specific data your request concerns. We will reply within the legal time limits. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may contact the competent data protection authority.

9. Children

The site is not directed at minors and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Because file processing happens on your device, your CAD models are not exposed to the risks of server storage.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site or to the law. The current version will always be published on this page with its update date.

12. Contact

For any question about this policy, write to contact@stepto3dpdf.com or visit the contact page.
