Terms and conditions

Last updated: September 28, 2026

1. Acceptance

These terms govern the use of the website stepto3dpdf.com (“StepPDF 3D” or “the site”), owned by Said Ayup. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service.

2. Description of the service

StepPDF 3D is a free tool for viewing CAD models (STEP, IGES, STL, OBJ, 3MF, PLY, VRML, 3D PDF and other formats) and converting them to interactive 3D PDF and other mesh formats. All processing takes place in the user’s browser. The service does not require registration.

3. Permitted use

You may use the site for personal and professional purposes. You agree not to:

4. Your files and content

The files you load remain yours. We do not receive or store them, because they are processed on your device. You are solely responsible for having the necessary rights to the models you convert and for how you use the generated files.

5. Accuracy of results

Conversion turns the model geometry into a triangle representation (tessellation). The resulting 3D PDF is a visual representation and does not replace the original CAD file or official technical documentation. There may be precision differences from the original model, and some formats are supported experimentally. Always check the result before using it for manufacturing, contractual or engineering purposes.

Viewing the 3D content of the PDF depends on the PDF reader you use; a reader that supports 3D content is required, such as Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Reader.

6. Service “as is” and liability

The service is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind regarding continuous operation, freedom from errors or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, the site owner shall not be liable for direct or indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service or the files generated with it, including loss of data, loss of profits or manufacturing errors.

We may modify, suspend or discontinue the service, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice.

7. Intellectual property

The site’s design, texts and own code belong to its owner. The site also uses open-source components under their own licenses: OpenCascade and occt-import-js (LGPL), three.js (MIT), pdf-lib (MIT) and a PRC writer based on Asymptote’s (LGPL). Adobe, Acrobat and Reader are trademarks of Adobe Inc.; the CAD program names mentioned belong to their respective owners. StepPDF 3D is not affiliated with any of them.

8. Advertising and external links

The site is funded by Google AdSense advertising. We are not responsible for the content of the ads or of the external sites they link to. Data processing related to advertising is described in the Privacy policy.

9. Privacy

The use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy policy.

10. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always the one published on this page, with its update date. If you keep using the site after a change, you are deemed to accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Mexico, unless applicable consumer protection law provides otherwise.

12. Contact

If you have questions about these terms, write to contact@stepto3dpdf.com.
